This page sets out the rules our editors follow. They exist so that a reader can trust that a deal on NXT.Deals is real, current and chosen on merit.
1. Two kinds of deals, labelled as such
Every deal on this site carries one of two labels, and the label tells you exactly how much checking has been done.
- Editor verified. A member of our team opened the retailer's page, confirmed the price or discount, tested the code where that is possible without buying, and noted any conditions. The date of that check is shown on the deal. These are the only deals we feature on the homepage, the only ones with their own indexable page, and the only ones we describe as verified.
- Validated by feed. The offer was supplied by a retailer through an affiliate network's feed (Takeads, CouponAPI). The network's own systems check that the link resolves and that the offer is marked live, and we filter the feed for concrete savings, the right market and duplicates, but nobody here has opened it by hand. The card says “Validated by” and names the source, and the deal page explains that conditions may apply at checkout.
We do not call a feed deal “verified”, and we do not hide the difference. A feed deal that a reader reports as dead is re-checked within one business day and removed if it fails; a feed deal an editor checks by hand becomes editor verified from that date.
2. No invented discounts
A “was” price or a percentage saving appears only when the retailer displays it or when we hold a dated observation of the higher price ourselves. If we cannot substantiate a reference price we show the current price alone. Feed offers that state no concrete saving are not imported at all.
3. Dated prices
Every price in our comparison tables carries the date it was observed. Prices are gathered from retailer listings by our sourcing tools and refreshed on a schedule. Only prices in this site's market currency are compared; offers far below a product's typical price are hidden as likely mismatches; and a price appears in a page title or structured data only when it was confirmed live within the last two weeks. A price that could not be re-checked recently is still shown with its original date rather than silently kept “fresh”.
4. Expiry and removal
Deals expire automatically at the end date the retailer or feed gives. Feed deals are also expired when the feed withdraws them. Expired deals are not indexed by search engines, and store or category pages with too few live offers are kept out of the index until they fill.
5. Independence
Editors choose which deals to verify and feature on the basis of the saving and its usefulness to readers. Commission rates are not shown to the editors who select deals. Retailers and brands cannot pay for a listing, a position or a favourable description, and do not see content before it is published. Where a retailer offers us an exclusive code we say so on the deal. Feed deals are ordered by verification status, then by whether they carry a code, then by recency, never by what they pay.
6. Guides and AI assistance
Guides and store pages are written or edited by our editorial team and reviewed for accuracy before publication. We may use AI tools to draft or tidy text; a person checks every published claim, and each guide carries its author and publication date. Retailer policy tables on store pages show the date they were last checked and link to the retailer's own policy page, because policies change. Facts we cannot verify are removed rather than published.
7. Corrections
We correct errors promptly and note material corrections on the affected page. To report one, use the contact form.
8. What we do not list
We do not list deals for products that are illegal where the site is read, counterfeit goods, weapons, tobacco or vaping products, gambling, adult content, or any age-restricted product. We list children's products such as kids' tablets, toys and games, because they are bought by adults; we do not run marketing aimed at children, collect data from children, or accept offers that require a child to act. We do not use domains or branding that imitate a retailer's.
