Newegg

Newegg is a PC-parts specialist first, and its pricing habits reflect that: frequent short promotions, a lot of combo pricing, and rebates that only pay if you file them.

Promo codes are common at Newegg and are usually shown on the listing itself, as a code beside the price with an expiry. Enter it in the "Promo code" box at checkout. Newegg also emails codes to account holders, and its Shell Shocker deals are daily, quantity-limited prices on a handful of items.

Combo deals. Newegg discounts a second item when bought with a first (a CPU with a motherboard, a case with a power supply). The combo price appears on the listing; check that the second item is one you would have bought anyway, because the discount is often smaller than a good standalone price elsewhere.

Mail-in rebates. Many Newegg prices are shown "after rebate". The rebate is paid by the manufacturer, typically as a prepaid card, weeks after you submit a form and proof of purchase. Treat the pre-rebate price as the real price unless you are certain you will file.

Newegg Marketplace. Third-party sellers list alongside Newegg's own stock, with their own return policies. The seller name is on the listing; "Sold and shipped by Newegg" is the simplest way to know you are getting Newegg's own terms.
