How to save at Target
Most of Target's best prices are not on the shelf tag. They come through Target Circle, the free loyalty programme, which applies percentage-off offers to specific items or categories at checkout once you have saved the offer to your account. The Circle app or website lists current offers; many are 20 to 30% off a category for a week.
Circle Week is Target's main sale event, usually in spring and again in the autumn; it is when Circle offers, Deal Days and clearance overlap. Circle 360, the paid tier, adds free same-day delivery but does not change prices.
Target promo codes exist but are rarer than Circle offers. They are typically tied to a category or a first pickup order and entered in the "Promo code" box at checkout. Clearance is marked with red tags in store and a "Clearance" filter online; the deepest markdowns tend to be in store rather than online.
Price match. Target matches its own online price in store and matches a set of major competitors' online prices, including Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy, at the time of purchase and for a period afterwards. That makes Target a useful place to buy something you have seen cheaper elsewhere if you prefer Target's returns and pickup.

- Do Target Circle offers stack with promo codes?
Usually yes. Circle offers apply to the item price and a promo code applies to the order, so both can appear on the same receipt. Two Circle offers generally cannot apply to the same item.
- How do I use a Target promo code?
Enter it in the "Promo code" box on the checkout page before you place the order. Circle offers are different: save them to your account first and they apply automatically.
- Does Target price match Amazon?
Yes, for identical items sold and shipped by Amazon, at the time of purchase and for a period afterwards. Bring or show the current Amazon price; marketplace sellers are excluded.
- What is RedCard?
Target's store card and debit card, which take 5% off most purchases at Target and extend the return window.
- When is Target Circle Week?
Twice a year in recent years, in spring and in autumn ahead of the holidays. Dates are announced a week or two ahead on Target's site and app.
