How to save at Apple
Apple almost never discounts current products on its own store, so the ways to pay less at Apple are structural rather than promotional.
Certified Refurbished. Apple's refurbished store sells returned and repaired devices with a new outer shell and battery on iPhones, full one-year warranty, the same accessories as new and the same return policy. Prices are typically 15% or so below new for the previous or current generation. Stock changes daily; Macs and iPads appear most often.
Education pricing. Students, teachers and staff at schools and universities get reduced prices on Macs and iPads and a discount on AppleCare, through the Apple Education Store. Verification is required.
Trade-in. Apple credits the value of an old device against a new one, either as instant credit in store or as a gift card after assessment. The credit is applied to the price, not as a code, so it combines with refurbished or education pricing where those are available.
Apple Card. Purchases through Apple with Apple Card earn Daily Cash, and eligible products can be financed at 0% over instalments.
Promo codes do not exist on the Apple Store. Any site offering an Apple promo code is not offering a working discount on apple.com; genuine savings on Apple products come from the retailers above, from Apple's refurbished store, or from authorised resellers running their own promotions.
